ZIPPY ZOLAF THE AMAZING CHICKEN
Alrighty, well we went to the farm the other day, and I am proud to report that Zippy Zolaf is doing very well. If you don't know the story of Zippy, prepare yourself, for I am about to tell all. It just so happened that my mother-in-law, Rod and I were coming back from the field after bringing my father-in-law some lunch. We stopped at the neighbors to get some beans and some other garden veggies. We proceeded to the house and decided to get the Beets ready to can. We set up on the picnic table outside and my mother-in-law went inside to get a pan. Well, she came out of the house and screamed "RODNEY! Dad has another chicken in a trap!!" so Rod ran over, and I got up and waddled over to see what all the fuss was about.
It just so happened it was a little chicken we had just turned out, because they were big enough not to be penned up. SO I said well what are we going to do? Its leg was broken, I asked Rod if we took care of it if it would live, he didn't know. It's all up to the chicken, and dad might decided to just "put it down." I had him hand the chicken to me and we found a box, I put the chicken the box with some rags, food and water and put her in the house. While doing this all we decided to name it Zippy Zolaf.
So dad decided to take care of the chicken, the next week we came out, ol' Zip-o was in a birdcage outside, being fed and taken care of. Well this last week we went out to the farm dad had let Zippy out and I am happy to report Zippy Zolaf is now walking, running (with a limp) but he doesn't take shit from any of the other chickens. One tried to pick on Ol' Zipppy, he just pecked the other chicken in the head, and it ran away! So if you're having a bad day, just remember BE LIKE ZIPPY ZOLAF! He sure is a resilient little Chicken.

Well that's all for today, Kat, Rod and Baby
