Ditch Day

Today, didn't start out so good, this moring I had some trouble getting home. Luckily I had yogurt and a bravarian cream, which helped fuel me to deal with the situation. To get home, we have to travel around two curves (Curve Road). I misjudged the curve, went into someone else's tracks, I ended up half on the road, half in the ditch. I only have a two-wheel drive pickup so I was stuck. I ended up walking from the curves up the drive which is about a mile or so, not too mention it was cold. The whole way up the drive I was dreding that I would have to tell my father-in-law that he would have to come and pull me out. Seeing as I had just rolled and wrecked my care the previous month, I felt like a loser.

When I got up to the house, dad told me he was starting to wonder if I'd gone in the ditch because I am normally home by eight, it was eight fifteen. I thought he'd be dissapointed or upset. Instead he proceeded to tell me that Rod had done the same thing at least twice (possibly three times). He also said "You're not the only one that has gone in the ditch there, I've pulled a couple people out of ditch there" Yeah so that made me feel better and I think that was dad's way of saying don't worry, it'll be okay and I love you. Dad at least showed me today that he does accept me. Which is something I needed to learn today, so today was a good learning day. I'm glad I went in the ditch, because it made me feel a part of Rod's family!

Well, Rod is here now, we have a date today, I am all spiffed up, so I am going to go! Have a happy day and hopefully you learned something today too!
