Car

Have a CAR, Crown Victoria, '87, Cream Colored, Almost a color, I have never had a car that has had a color, damn! It is very nice, very pretty and a dream to drive. Baby seat is now located in the back seat. Love my car, though miss the pickup. Baby looks to be like it is going to be late, born more like the 2nd week in October, or so the doc thinks. Everything else here is going well, mostly just trying to be un-bored in this little stinky town, it stinks, litteraly. Anyways, otherwise life is good for us here.

TIME TO PARTY!! And look at a car....

Okay, maybe we won't bring the roof down this week, but I know we will have fun!! Rod has FIVE days off all in a row!! EXCITING!! So we get to do all the things we long to do when we are apart. We even managed to have fun this morning, even though it was 3:00am! So we are looking at a car today! I hope that we buy it, because I really WANT a new car. You know how I am I change my mind every 2 min. about anything and everything. I love our truck, but I also loath it at this point in its sad falling apart stage. poor thing! Okay, so that is all my friends, news of what the party was like will most likely follow this post... Kate, Rod and Baby

Three Wonderful Days

Well, Rod and I had three wonderful days, you couldn't get any better then spending time together. The 1st day we puttered around home, got some things accomplished, vacumed and cleaned the love seat. Sanded the Armour for baby's room, spent time together around town. The second day we went to the farm, I got time to go through the Blue Trailer House (our storage) find blankets, and towels, also some clothes. Stuff that we really needed. That took most of my day, while Rod fought with fixing the tires on the Pickup. We really need a new vehicle, bad, the brake pads are gone, the threads were showing on the front tires and it leaks fuel, worse than it did. Rod couldn't get the truck finished on our 2nd day so we had to go back to the farm on our 3rd day, but we got to stop at a garage sale, and we got the truck done. Plus we got to spend time together. Oh yeah and on the third day I got to see some of the cheese factory where Rod works. mmm it was a great 3-days for us. He gets another 4 off after Tuesday, which We can't wait for. Contently yours, Kat, Rod and Baby

ZIPPY ZOLAF THE AMAZING CHICKEN

Alrighty, well we went to the farm the other day, and I am proud to report that Zippy Zolaf is doing very well. If you don't know the story of Zippy, prepare yourself, for I am about to tell all. It just so happened that my mother-in-law, Rod and I were coming back from the field after bringing my father-in-law some lunch. We stopped at the neighbors to get some beans and some other garden veggies. We proceeded to the house and decided to get the Beets ready to can. We set up on the picnic table outside and my mother-in-law went inside to get a pan. Well, she came out of the house and screamed "RODNEY! Dad has another chicken in a trap!!" so Rod ran over, and I got up and waddled over to see what all the fuss was about.

It just so happened it was a little chicken we had just turned out, because they were big enough not to be penned up. SO I said well what are we going to do? Its leg was broken, I asked Rod if we took care of it if it would live, he didn't know. It's all up to the chicken, and dad might decided to just "put it down." I had him hand the chicken to me and we found a box, I put the chicken the box with some rags, food and water and put her in the house. While doing this all we decided to name it Zippy Zolaf.

So dad decided to take care of the chicken, the next week we came out, ol' Zip-o was in a birdcage outside, being fed and taken care of. Well this last week we went out to the farm dad had let Zippy out and I am happy to report Zippy Zolaf is now walking, running (with a limp) but he doesn't take shit from any of the other chickens. One tried to pick on Ol' Zipppy, he just pecked the other chicken in the head, and it ran away! So if you're having a bad day, just remember BE LIKE ZIPPY ZOLAF! He sure is a resilient little Chicken.

Well that's all for today, Kat, Rod and Baby

DEER HUNTING HERE I COME!!

Okay, so the ONLY reason I am posting, is because I just won an E-bay Auction and I am EXCITED. So awhile back Rod and I were talking, I mentioned something about dying my hair again. He mentioned dying in ORANGE for Deer Hunting. SO I am dying it Orange (HI-OCTANE ORANGE) for Deer Hunting. I have decided however that it is only going to be streaked orange, because it takes less money, time, effort and dye! I have REALLY long hair, it is down to my back!

SO, yuppers, I bid on Special Effects Hair Dye from a store on E-bay, the only way to get Orange hair-dye according to my pal at Hot Topic. So look out world here comes Orange hair. I am kinda dissapointed I don't get to shoot any guns off this deer hunting, I got prego. before Rod could start my summer shooting lessons, so I have to sit in the house with the baby. Though depending on how I feel, I will prob. end up making the long trek out to Rod's Deer stand, to sit on my ass for a half hour. But of course kissing is always involved :) OKay. That is all I have to say. The End. -Kat, Rod and Baby

Furniture Fixing Day!?

Okay, so JILLIAN I messaged you my address via your xanga, so check your xanga message inbox or I suppose it'll notify you via e-mail that you have a message from xanga. I SWEAR I e-mailed you my address, in fact I am 100% sure I did, to your JRC ( or whatever it is-I know you gave it to me, but can I remember what it is no, I copied it from the message you sent it to me in) e-mail address, maybe it went into your bulk mail folder? I dunno-so hopefully you get it via your xanga blog message thingy. I would just post it on here, but not all the nuts are on trees-if you know what I mean.

Today is a green, split pea soup kinda day. Went to Sir T-Frees cabin last night, some drunks were there on labor day weekend, they really messed up the yard, people have no fuckin' respect for other people! T. is coming out next weekend, he called last night and woke us up, we still love you T.!

It was so gorgeous out last night, just a perfect night, I swear if I could live in a house in the middle of a lake all year-round, I would. Here at least you can live in a house in the middle of a lake part of the year. So we enjoyed ourselves last night, though we miss the Resort being open during the week, that's where we get drinks and misc. stuff we forgot to bring. It's right down the road from the cabin. You know summer is done when the Resorts close, such a shame.

Today is fix things day, so maybe I can get more furniture in the house from the garage. Rod said he would fix things today. He is my fixer man! I am hoping the love seat is good enough to move into the house...Sat. we get to look at tables, recliners and that sort of stuff, thanks to Bernice. Yuppers, mostly I just posted so Jill knew that I sent her my address, before she goes crazy!!! But I still posted for the rest of you lovers, so don't go pyscho and get jealous! -Kat, Rod, and BABY

The day's just begun

Well, the day has just begun. The library just opened, and I woke up in time to get a computer yet, because it is still early. Yesterday went good, Rod and I got some things acomplished in the house, mostly just cleaning and taking care of produce from the garden. Our(-mostly Rods garden because I was useless when it came to doing anything, I was too pregnant) didn't do too well this year, I think it was the location of it, the weather and the fact that every creature you can image decided to have a feast. Not too mention Rod was almost too busy to take care of it.

Rod has a green thumb, if there is a man on this planet that can grow food and keep plants alive, it would be him. I, on the other hand, can kill any plant, he gave me an Aloe plant a long time ago, and it only made it 3days before it died. He did give me a cactus, and that grew really well, I would still have it, however there are cactus theives in Cokato, I had a lot of cacti and they all got stolen out of my mothers yard. Damn people!

So Today, is just another day, I am making pudding, and I don't really know what else I am going to do. It's pretty much hard at this point to do anything at all. Ah yes, and I know all of you poor people really wanted to see Kat fat, er pregnant, but the time is coming soon that I will no longer be this big. I guess I should have had a reunion or something! I guess I live too far away, tucked up North. I have been back home several times, it's just I have no idea where any of you people are! St. Cloud is 2-2 1/2 hours away from me, so if you really have time and ambition and your life isn't complete without seeing me so BIG, maybe somehow we can meet or something. Most of you have seen my e-mail posted at one time and you can always leave a comment, I do get back to people who leave comments and wish to talk. Though I do only have local service on my Tele so I use phone cards to make calls... which sometimes can complicate things. Okay, so I guess I am going to get going, no e-mails today, so that means I get to go make bananna cream pudding (yuck, okay so it's for Rod), Kat, Rod and Baby

Good Day/Bad Day

Well, yesterday we drove up to Fargo, to visit a store called "once upon a chlid" yeah everyone says it is a good store, well maybe in other locations, but we thought it sucked. So we basicly drove to Fargo for nothing, or so it seemed. We did manage to drive around completly lost, because well it's been awhile since I drove up there and Rod hasn't been there in a while either, though he seems to know it better than I. Fargo/Moorhead is basicly just one big confusing place anyways. So I was grouchy, I don't know if it's the hormones, or if I was just tired, or what. I mean I really couldn't tell you, so I would say it is the hormones. You could have called me Oscar yesterday, which meant all we did for half the day is argue. Blech. Yeah, so we went to Walmart, got food, got a baby monitor, diapers, washcloths, baby wash, that kinda stuff. On the way back we went to a garage sale, and managed to find a high-chair (which could have waited but it was only $5). We also picked up a table, which looked shitty in the barn she had it in, but once we got it home, it looks like it belongs in the kitchen. Yuppers, we also picked up so misc. stuff there too, books, knick knacks...just because we could. On Monday, we drove around Ottertaile lake, why? because we could, we did find a free love seat, with a hide-a-bed in it, which because it was SMALL we picked it up. Now if I could get my hands on a recliner, that would be the last of my hunt for furniture I think... oh wait I still need to find a dresser, unless we have one sitting somewhere... Yeah... So I don't know if yesterday was good or bad. I think it was just medi-ocre. Rod works the next seven days, than gets 3 days off, than works another four. All of which include weekends, blech. It sounded like Crystal and Matt had a good leave, hopefully they had fun. Next on Rod and my big spending list is a CAR, still have not run across one of those.. I mean one in the budget, and one we actually kinda like. I actually want a car with a color, all mine have been white or grey. Yuppers, we need a car bad, the brake pads are going on the truck, it is leaking gas worse than before and it can't have a car seat in it. Though I still have a soft spot in my heart for it, it got us through 7 and a half months, saved us really, because I rolled my other car. yeah, good old Misty, I think we will still keep her, just because. Yup, well I suppose I should go home and mop the floor, wash the high chair, and the table down. Otherwise, I really don't think I have much else to occupy my time today. Hope all is well in your lands. -Kat, Rod and Baby
